4th of July Weekend

We had a great 4th of July weekend. We were blessed to be able to spend it with family and friends. First off Daniel and Branson played a bit of football in the backyard. If you look closely (or just make the picture bigger) you can see the look of sheer determination on Branson's face. Lane wasn't big enough to join in the game. So he entertained himself in other ways. You can see right on the side of the bucket, that this isn't a good idea!

The next morning we got up and went to Lake Allen Henry. Dan's brother and his wife and Dan's parents were also there. Brodie and Maddie (the doggies below) also joined the fun. Macy is always up to play with a friendly puppy. So she was in heaven with 2 there!

Dan's brother, James, worked on his knee boarding skills.

Dan gave Branson a little advice about knee boarding before he took off.

He had no problem picking it up. I no time he was doing tricks, turning sideways and one handed.

Nothing good ever comes from too much showboating. (He popped right back up, so don't worry!)

He lived to make another run!

We were in good hands. We had some great linesmen!

After the lake, we went back to Post. We made it just in time to watch a few fireworks. I am going to work on taking fireworks pictures. Apparently I need a tripod and slow exposure. Again - - next year! But for now - - you get the idea!

On the way home we stopped at Rainbow Kennels. There was a litter of 12 6-week old Malamutes. They were so cute!

We fell in love with a 2 1/2 week old baby pup. These guys could melt your heart. We are hoping to bring him home in about 4 weeks! Please leave your ideas for a nice Alaskan sounding name! We need all the help we can get! You will have to excuse these pictures too. I had my hand in the way of the flash, but you can still see him!
